17th Century German Pub Model

After around three months of designing and building, we finally finished our latest commission job, a miniland scale model of the Brauhaus Sünner im Walfisch in Cologne, Germany.

We were commissioned by the owner of the listed building to build a scale replica to be displayed in the actual pub. As the building was built around 400 years ago, there were no detailed plans to base the model from. So after a few visits, lots of photos and the help of Google Earth, we presented the model to the delighted owner.

With an interior of the ground and first floor, the model had every detail of the original building, including stained glass windows, the whale sign on the side of the building and even tables and chairs.

For a perfect Christmas gift, we designed and created micro models of the pub and finished them off by placing them in clear baubles, topped off with festive ribbons. The micro models were given to special guests of the pub over the Christmas period.
