The biggest flag made from LEGO bricks in Dubai

Brick Galleria was recently commissioned to build the world's largest flag made from LEGO bricks for the Road and Traffic Authority in Dubai, UAE, for their National Flag Day.

Using around 150,00 LEGO 2x4 bricks, our team put together the flag in the large Union Metro train station in Dubai. As the model was a public build, we based the large flag on upscaled bricks, four times the size of a standard 2x4 LEGO brick which was made by lots of people form the public who passed by the build.

After a complete day of building, the flag was built and measured over 3 metres tall and around 5 meters wide. His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA turned up to meet me and help me put the last brick in place and then had a heap of photos taken by the press.

It was a fun build and I got to work with some amazing people. The flag will now be a permanent art installation in Dubai for all to see.
